You Ask - I Answer
ARE YOUR FEES COVERED BY OHIP?
The short answer is no. OHIP only covers medical doctors like Psychiatrists and GP Psychotherapists. However we covered by your private health insurance. Please check your coverage to see what you are applicable for. Payment is made after every session and a receipt will be provided to you by email so you can upload it to your insurance company or keep it as a token for attaining a new you! So if you have insurance coverage, might as well use it! We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Interac.
ARE YOU A DOCTOR? IF NO, THEN WHAT'S UP?
We are not doctors. Well not yet at least. We shall keep you posted :) Dayana is Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). We also work with one psychologist and a GP Psychotherapist. So if you have insurance, the odds are you will be covered to see us! Richard is currently a clinical intern awaiting his license.
SO HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEE YOU?
Ah yes the $1 million dollar question! Luckily for you my fee is not that high!
Individual Sessions are $120/per 60 min session.
Couples Counseling is $160/per 60 min session.
Life Coaching is $180/per 90 min session.
Executive Coaching $/280 per 120 min session.
Family Therapy will depend on the number of individuals present at each session. Please contact me for rates.
Corporate rate depends on the project. Please contact me for rates.
Please note, that as January 1, 2020 all new patients require a credit card on file in order to book their first appointment if you do not have native status, are covered by your EAP or have been referred by Victim Services.
WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES IN?
We speak Spanish, Polish and English fluently and can provide services in both. If you speak Portuguese from Portugal, odds are Dayana will understand you as well!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEN DON'T SHOW UP?
So that might be a problem! If make your first initial appointment and don't call to cancel; I'll have to decide if another one can be re-booked. Remember for every appointment you take, its one less appointment another patient doesn't get. If you are showing up, but for some reason forget your appointment that day, then a missed cancellation fee will apply to you on your next session PLUS the fee for that session.
24 hours notice is required to cancel any appointment. Should you not cancel your appointment within 24 hours or are a 'No Show', your credit card will be charged in full for the appointment missed. No refunds will be given.
HOW CAN YOU HELP ME?
So here's the long and short of it. If you have anxiety, depression, PTSD or addictions; I have training in all those areas. If you are looking for life or executive coaching, relationship, couples or family therapy, I can help you here as well. The truth is therapy or coaching isn't a vaccine shot that will cure you and/or keep you immune from life's problems. It will however teach you coping skills and techniques to help you get through your issues.
WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?
Ok so let's get serious here. You have the right to have everything you say at each session kept private from anyone and everyone EXCEPT (yes my friends you knew it was coming) on five grounds:
You tell me you are thinking of harming yourself and/or someone else. I'm required to call 911.
You tell me another healthcare professional has sexually assaulted you in any manner. That's a 911 call PLUS a call to their respective college that governs their license.
My files get subpoenaed for any and all court issues you are having.
You tell me of a child who is minor, an individual over the age of 65 or someone of diminished capacity who you are aware of that is being physically, sexually or emotionally abuse; we are required to report that to the officials.
Your lawyer and/or insurance company give me a form signed by you saying you want me to hand over your file.
And anything I may have left out that legally covers me and/or requires me to disclose :)
